Seven Sisters
Nature's Open Arms (wrote at a park yesterday afternoon) The world has turned to green again And it's high time I emerge From this cocoon I've been hiding in From illness I will rise and my soul will open And perhaps I'll even smile and say hello I need to grip my hands on the earth as it Pulls me out into nature's open arms of peace To find the soul that's been dormant By winter's cruel embrace upon my heart Just open your eyes, it says Find what will make you happy And I think I have On the porch swing of a white house Steeped in a hundred years of history And find my own is worth keeping For history reveals who we are as we Walk our future in soul shoes History cannot predict our future For that is only up to me
