dear friends, I wanna direct your attentions to some excellent photoshop tutorials created by our common friend Ji_Dallagio

I think you should have a look at them, because most probably they will help you a lot

First Tutorial: Working on Layers
http://www.koinup.com/Ji_Dallagio/work/55124/as-list/

Second Tutorial: Blending and changing colors
http://www.koinup.com/Ji_Dallagio/work/55340/as-list/

Third Tutorial: Extract Images from their currect backgrounds
http://www.koinup.com/Ji_Dallagio/work/55480/as-list/

Thanks Ji!
These tutorials are not about Second Life or some other worlds, but are about Photoshop and Postprocessing, so I think that most of you can be really interested!

I invite other members to share their tecniques and create tutorials using the storyboard tool! I'll give to each tutorial the maximum of visibility in order to help the whole community! Enjoy Koinup!

Hi, there's alot going on at the moment with the pileups and other projects and its all extremely valuable work BUT....I really urge mentors to keep checking the works for review. And when you check them please do review them...give a critique if you can....that's the reason they have put them there, the submitters are asking for advice. (yes i know nag nag nag ;-))))

Many thanks chums xxxx

Just so everyone knows...anyone can take part in any of the projects currently running, the mentors scheme, the pileup work or any of the other projects going on at the moment. All these ideas are transferable to other worlds too not just secondlife. Don't wait to be asked (no-one else has lol)....JOIN IN!! ;-) If you have any other ideas, share them with us..its all part of the learning process.

Hi folks, please could you make sure that you put in the steps & techniques you have used on the originals on reworked pileup pieces so that there is an educational aspect that all can benefit from.

Many thanks ;-))))

Hello chums. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you that have embraced the mentors project, both to mentors and those submitting work for review. There have been some really excellent critiques and tutorials. I am going to be away for roughly a month (with a short spell back in the middle) so please mentors...keep up the great work you have done so far and review works on http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/review/

On another point...thanks to Pan and Pier for the initiative of comparing photos taken at the same sim. It would be great to narrow this down and maybe look at something specific on the sim and comparing shots on it...such as happened with the Beguile shots http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/beguile/

Another great suggestion from Ji, is to take a raw untouched image and then invite people to use it and do post prod work on it. Each person would then explain what they have done to get to their final image. This process is known as "Pile Up" so if you would like to do this...please upload a work and add the tag "pileup" to it. Then add a tag of your choice that each person doing work on it will add to their new work so that the string of photos can be identified. Then of course don't forget to add the tag "tutorial".

This is all very exciting and I can't wait to see the results on my return. Good luck my chums xxx

Hi all. Nope, no blatant plugs from me this time, lol but a request. I am very much a photo novice and would greatly appreciate critique comments or suggestions on pieces - if you feel you would like to. Of course I greatly love being told something I've done is wonderful *grins, a massage to the ego is no bad thing sometimes...but if you genuinely have a suggestion or comment I would be delighted to hear it as I really want to improve. I have only just got a post prod suite so I'm learning that too. I hope this makes sense anyway!! Thank you my chums and mmmwwaaaa xxxx

Ok so I feel rather embarassed to do this (I am English so being embarassed and apologising are national pastimes lol) but if I don't promote my own work, no-one else will. So here's my entry for the Orange contest http://www.koinup.com/Trixibelle/work/41645/ Thank you chums xxxx
