I finally got a little break from my building projects. I hit the blue window notice that dj Roxette Mabellon sent. She was announcing several new dj demos at Dance Island.
Hmmm... definitely a treat to hear the demos.
These are the dj's who are auditioning their stuff to one of the biggest dance clubs in Second LIfe.
I heard trance and hardstyle when I was there. Two very favorite genres. The dj #2 was killer on hardstyle.
I listened to dj Rox dissect and explain the harmonic and beat mix. At one set, she shouted out, "DJ#1 was ranking high because of Gig Building = 6, Beatmix Skills = 8, Harmonic Skills = 7, Music Choice = 7... with an overall rating of 7."
It was a real learning experience for me. And an eye opener for what a club has to do to secure a really great dj. And imagine, this club is on 24/7 with international avies that expect the best music.
