Morning
Model: Freyja Nemeth Skin: Tuli S5 V2 Hair: Calico Helen 1 A piece I did for Tuli's current contest. The background is stock from SXC.hu I don't remember all the steps on this, but in brief: 1) Cropping and cleaning this and that. 2) Changed HSL on the background to get the color I wanted 3) Made a simple gradient mask to give some DOF with gaussian blur. 4) Used the depth map I took with the snapshot to create more DOF blur to try and match the background. 5) Duplicated the model , locked to fill only areas with pixels, filled with black. Gaussian blur, lowered opacity, and offset to create the shadow on the bed. 6) For further versimilitude, I then used a gray scale version of the background image to act as a displacement map on the shadow. 7) Back to the model, duplicated twice. First layer set to overlay at a reduced opacity, second layer gray-scaled, a histogram adjustment to strengthen contrast, and then levels to heighten it further. Then I set this to Multiply at a reduced opacity to strengthen the sharpness of tones. And ... uh, that's it. Oh, and a bit of dodge along the calf near the pillow to get some of the light bloom from the pillows.
