I was going to enter this in the "Lifestyles" contest, but it's just as well I can't. The cat in blue is Piechi, I'm the one in red doing the inverted twist. The photo itself does not speak to any lifestyle, but how this photo was taken does.

I was on last night an Piechi IM's me. We're both friends in real life, but live far enough away that we don't see each other a lot. In fact, on my "contacts" list, a good percentage are people who I not only know, but have met in RL, possibly had dinner with at some point, shared con space with, hugged, or so on. He asks what I'm doing, and I tell him I'm base jumping. "That sounds kinda interesting. Where are you?"

Within half an hour he was kitted out with skydive gear. At first I didn't like the jumpsuit style he had but it kinda grew on me and I got a similar one in red. I think that's some of the fun of SL, it's playing dressup for adults. Either going full hardcore into it, getting the goggles, the suit, the helmet and everything else, or going the total opposite and skydiving in a thong while wearing a rubber duckie floatie.

A while later we moved from the first location to this one to go jumping. A LOT less lag here, and we spent the night doing 4000M jumps, playing with the smoke cannisters, tinkering with windlight and making new filters, swapping gestures and freebies... you know, online stuff.

For me, that's the lifestyle of SL. Log in with a bare bones plan of what you'd like to do, have the flexibility to say "hell with it, let's try something really different", and spend the night with friends doing what friends do. the only difference is that we can't just casually hop into a chair pod and pop up 4000 M. Nor do we have tails, fur, muzzles... But we're still the same people on SL we are off it. It's just a good way to hang out with friends you can't always hang out with.

Now we have a goal to load 8 furs on a chair, go up to 4000 M, and freefall stunts all the way down. It'd make for a cool pic, and some fun offworld stories.
