Ok, for you, I'll explain it...

One of the early "DragonBall Z" Episodes had the main character prepping up for an attack, and the bad guys make a big deal that his power level is "more than 9000".  It became sort of a geek thing after that, to describe "epicness" of something in a sarcastic way.  Then it kind of became an in joke with anime types, because the idea ofit got lost and it's like people who chuckle when you say "numa numa".

So I found the Goku costume as a freebie, Did the fire effects in world, and wanted a pic.  I was going to do it in a furry area but then remembered Gion and figured it'd look better there.
